It's driving on its back wheels with the front lifted

Quick answer

Wipe the robot's sensors with a dry microfibre cloth and update its firmware in the Beatbot app. That fixes it in most cases. If it only happens once or twice and then stops, it's not a fault.

Fix it in 5 steps

Sometimes a robot drives along the pool floor on its back wheels, with the front lifted up, like it's doing a wheelie. It usually clears up on its own after a clean or two. If it keeps happening:

  1. Lift the robot out of the pool and let it drain.
  2. Wipe all its sensors with a dry microfibre cloth until they're clean and clear.
  3. Open the Beatbot app and install any firmware update for your robot.
  4. Put it back in the pool and start a clean. It should drive flat on the floor again.
