AquaSense 2 support
- 3-Year Warranty
- Up to 4 h floor
- Up to 300 m²
Getting started
- Charge it. Push the bracket up into the groove on the back of the dock until it clicks, plug the dock in and sit the robot on it. A breathing light means it's charging and solid green means it's full. A full charge takes about 4 hours.
- Get the app and an account. Download the Beatbot app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account with your email, and sign in.
- Pair it by Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth and location on your phone and tap Add Device in the app. On the AquaSense 2, hold the Power and Floor buttons together for 3 seconds until the light flashes blue, then pick it from the list. Keep your phone within 1 metre. If it doesn't show, scan the QR code on the robot or add it manually.
- Connect it to your WiFi. Choose your home network and enter the password. The AquaSense 2 works on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi, so either band is fine.
- Put it in the pool. Clear out toys and towels and turn your pool pump off for the best result. Choose a cleaning mode in the app, then set the robot on flat ground for about 5 seconds so it can calibrate. Put it in the water and it starts by itself.
Using it
Can I use it in a salt pool?
Yes, with salt up to 5,000 ppm, which covers almost every home pool. Keep chlorine under 4 ppm, pH between 7.0 and 7.8, and water between 6 and 35 °C.
Can I call it back through the app mid-clean?
No. It returns to the edge when the clean finishes.
Does it avoid obstacles?
Yes. Its ultrasonic sensors recognise obstacles and steer around them.
What size and type of debris does it pick up?
Its two-layer 150 micron filter catches leaves, hair, sand, insects and fine dirt down to 150 micrometres.
Will it clean my infinity pool?
Yes, it cleans the floor, walls and waterline of an infinity pool, and won't go over the edge. It doesn't clean the surface.
How deep does my pool need to be?
It works in 0.5 to 3 m of water. It cleans ledges and benches with 50 cm of water or more, if they're wider than the robot. It can't clean standard steps.
Does it clean the water surface?
No. It cleans the floor, walls and waterline, and parks at the surface for pickup. For leaves on the surface, pair it with an iSkim.
Which cleaning mode should I use?
The Floor button cleans the floor; the Standard button cleans the floor, then walls, then waterline. The app adds Area and MultiZone modes, and you can change mode in the app before...
Troubleshooting
The 10 things owners ask us about most, with step-by-step fixes.
01It missed spots on its first clean
Usually not a fault: it builds up coverage as it cleans, so judge it on a full clean in Standard mode, after calibrating on flat ground. Missing the same spots after a few full cleans? Send us a video.
02It won't connect to the app
Hold Power and Floor for 3 seconds until the light flashes blue, keep your phone within 1 metre, and turn on Bluetooth and location.
03The app says it's offline
It's underwater, out of range or out of charge. It reconnects once it's out of the water and charged. Changed your WiFi password? Reset its WiFi and connect again.
04It takes a while to go under
Give it about 3 minutes to let the air out of its buoyancy chamber.
05It's not moving, or moving slowly, on the floor
Turn off your pool pump. If it's stuck on a drain, lift it with the hook and it carries on. Empty the basket if the pool was very dirty.
06It won't charge on the dock
Check the dock is plugged in and the robot is sitting square on it. Clean any rust or dirt off the charging pins on both.
07It didn't come back to the edge
Lift it with the hook, empty the basket and charge it. It doesn't float, so if the battery runs flat it stays on the floor.
08The light is flashing orange
That's a fault. Lift it out, clear hair or sand from the water outlet and brushes, empty the basket, then restart. Still flashing? Call 0485 000 320.
09It's noisy before and after a clean
That's it draining. It takes about 3 minutes.
10Leaves are still floating on the surface
The AquaSense 2 doesn't skim. An iSkim keeps the surface clear between cleans.
Maintenance and care
How do I store it over winter?
Drain it fully: hold the Floor button for 3 seconds and wait about 3 minutes. Store it indoors somewhere cool and dry, out of the sun, and charge it to about half...
How long does the battery last, and how long does it take to charge?
It has a 10,000 mAh battery that runs up to 4 hours on the floor, and charges on its dock in about 4 hours.
What do I do after every clean?
Lift it out, let it drain, empty and rinse the basket, then put it back on the dock.
